News, views and information from Tim Tuck, the MAS Primary Coordinator.
Thankyou to all the families who took the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and meet the teacher/s. We hope the class information brochures are helpful and that with the teacher presentations give a clear understanding of our goals for 2012. Please feel free at any stage to make an appointment with a teacher or myself to follow up any queries you may have through out the year.
Lessons for Reception to Year 7 commence next week and will culminate with the Primary Splash Carnival on the afternoon of Tuesday February 21st.Swimming notices with lesson timetable details were sent home yesterday.
We're very pleased to welcome new Reception students Molly, Patricia and Ruby who have commenced their school life with us.
Welcome back to the new school year. Classes are working well and it is especially exciting to visit the Junior Primary where Miss Sarah Atkins and Miss Brooke Edginton are working within our new structure. They are assisted in Literacy and Maths sessions by Miss Vanessa Secomb.
I know parents will enjoy the opportunity to attend the “Meet the Teacher Evening” on Tuesday February 7th to view this and other classes. A separate note with details of the evening were sent home earlier this week. When school and home work together our children are bound to achieve success. I ask that you support the school policies such as wearing of school uniforms and behaviour management. The staff always welcome and value parent opinion and I hope that you will approach us at any time you have a concern or issue so that we can work together to address this.I look forward to all that 2012 will hold.
This was held as part of the Tidy Towns group regular first Saturday of the month get together. The date was Saturday March 3rd with the area chosen for this year’s cleanup being around the frontage of the cemetery. It was great to see Lucy and Ben taking part with other family and community members.
The Reception to Year 7 classes entered a competition to design a Sports Day programme cover. The finalists were Brittany, Andrea, Liam and Bella, with Lachlan as the winner. Well done to all who entered and produced some great designs.
