The SAASTA Connect Camp took place at 'Errapa' campsite, Iron Knob, in the first week of the school holidays. Graham Walker and I attended the camp with five of our students; Lahnara, Lashae, Lakarri, Kevin and Elijah. We were extremely proud of them and the way they represented themselves and our school. Their attitude and behaviour was fantastic and they all participated in all activities, no matter how challenging.
Elijah and Kevin had attended this campsite previously, which allowed them to step up and take on more of a leadership role among their peers and representing all students with thank-you's to the police officers who ran the camp and giving a thoughtful speech. Thank to everyone for supporting these students. They certainly did us proud!
