On the 5th of September The SAASTA Certificate 2 Sport and Rec class headed to Maitland CFS to ask Trevor Allen (Station Head Captain) some questions about his role and the roles of the workers in the CFS crew. He told us about the importance of communication and working as a team to fight fires. Trevor showed us the communication/radio room which was full of radios and a log book that all communication is written in. He also showed us one of the trucks which we sat in and had our photo taken in. Trevor also sounded the sirens and turned on the lights. It was a fantastic day and we all enjoyed it.
