Maitland Area School

On Friday May 4th our Cross Country team of 40 students travelled to Kadina to participate in the annual Yorke Peninsula Primary event. 

Harvest Christian School were our hosts and the Kadina Golf Course was the venue for runs of between 1000 and 3000 metres.  

Congratulations to our Year 5, 6 & 7 year old boys who won 1st team placing [Riley Davey, Flynn Briggs, Oliver Linke and Will Davey].

Individual medal winners were Riley Davey [5, 6 & 7 yo boys] 2nd place, Flynn Briggs [5, 6 & 7 yo boys] 3rd place and Toni–Lee Allen [11yo girls] 3rd place. 

Along with other attending staff and parents I was very proud of the behaviour of our students on and off the course. They gave their all when competing and were polite and very supportive of each other. Thankyou to the parents and grandparents who were our fantastic cheer squad.
