On Sunday May the 27th Ron Edwards, Amelia Honner, Brianna Schwartz, Maddie Greenslade, Jordyn Ingham, Hayley Willson, Connor Briggs, Ben Smart, Henry Honner and Olivia Dyett all attended the Port Hughes Music Camp. The Camp hosted about 67 people.
The camp was for country kids only. We came from areas like the Yorke Peninsula, Mid North, Port Pire regions, Riverland, Barossa Valley, Kimba and many more places.When we got there on Sunday we arranged where we would be sleeping and who with. There was a girl dorm and a boy’s dorm.When everyone had arrived we had our first practice for about an hour. Some of the songs Sharon picked for us to play included Hey Jude by the Beatles, The Simpsons Main Theme, Great Movie Adventures which included the main themes from Star wars, Jurassic Park and E.T. One Hit Wonders was another favourite one which included some familiar tunes such as Hang on Sloopy, Whip It, Rock and Roll [The Hey song] and Mickey and many more.That night we voted to watch a movie. The movie we watched was Jack and Jill. Everyone enjoyed it and had lots of laughs. We returned to our dorms and got ready for bed and then at 10:30 it was lights out!
