PostHeaderIcon Book Week 2010: Splash Theatre Company Production

1262144601_photosSplash Theatre Company entertained our R-7 students with a theatrical romp through seven different 'Bridge' themed stories. Using mime, slapstick, fast=paced costume changes and skilful characterisation the troupe of three talented actors amused, astounded and delighted the captivated audience. A wonderful hour of fun and thought!

Junior School classes worked to produce a construction based on the theme of Story Bridges. There was a wonderful array of ideas and designs. President of the Friends of the Library, Emma Leonard and committee member, Denise Karutz , had a difficult task in choosing a winning entry. Accolades went to all classes, but the Year 6 "BOOKLYN Bridge" complete with "BOOK MOBILES" won the day enhanced by an original song.

PostHeaderIcon Ag Students Prepare for the Adelaide Royal Show

1262144601_photosRoyal Show time is fast approaching and our Year 9 and Year 10 Agricultural Studies classes are busily preparing our goats and steers.
Last week our Year 9 class introduced the five led wether goats to our Junior School classes. The younger students loved the activity and it is obvious we have many budding Ag students in the Junior School!
On Monday August 23, David Davies spent the afternoon with our Ag Certificate students demonstrating the correct technique for clipping steers and preparing our Red Poll “Beau” for the Show. We are very grateful for David’s continued support of our Ag program.

The afternoon was part of week long celebrations for BOOK WEEK 2010.
