PostHeaderIcon Junior School (R-6)

The Junior School students are presented with a wide curriculum and have weekly Music, Drama and Japanese lessons with specialist teachers.

Literacy and Numeracy lessons are supported with many excellent resources, and the staff have undergone extensive training and development to ensure high student learning outcomes. National Literacy & Numeracy tests are held in May of each year for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Results are distributed to parents, and teachers analyse student work to determine those students requiring extra support to meet benchmarks and to ensure relevant programs are in place.

PostHeaderIcon Middle School Curriculum (7-9)

All students undertake a common curriculum in Year 7.  There is the opportunity for limited subject choice in Years 8 and 9.  Courses cover all of the eight learning areas of English, Society and the Environment, Arts (Music, Drama, Visual Arts), Science (inc Agriculture), Mathematics, Design and Technology, Languages (Japanese) and Health and Physical Education (including Home Economics).

PostHeaderIcon Senior School Curriculum (10-12)

In Year 10, students start the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) by completing the compulsory Stage 1 Personal Learning Plan (PLP).  Students go on to choose from a broad range of semester and full Year subjects at Stage 1 and 2 to complete the SACE.  All students beginning in 2011 with the “new SACE,” must undertake a Research Assignment.  It allows students to use creativity and initiative, while developing the research and presentation skills needed in further study or work.
