Maitland Area School

The 2011 Maitland Show was held on Tuesday March 8 in perfect weather, despite the town receiving torrential downpours just the day before.

The primary school students arrived at the show riding on parent Tim Davies' truck and took several laps around the oval as part of the parade.

The Primary Choir and the Festival Choir both performed in the main tent, followed by the Concert Band.

School finished early at 2pm for families to visit the show together and students enjoyed the many rides, sideshows, food and activities.

Students also exhibited craft, art and cooking items and many won prizes.

The Show ended with a fireworks display just after sunset.
