The Instrumental Music Service 'Brass Group' visited our school on Tuesday November 15. The group performed in the PAC to students from Years 3-7.
They were very entertaining, impressing the audience with a medley of movie tunes, music from the middle-ages and an inventive story-piece based on the tale of the Tortoise and the Hare.
They demonstrated how brass instruments work, showed a variety of ways to create new - and unusual - sounds and shared their love of playing music.
A secondary aim of the visit was to encourage students in Years 5 and up to consider learning a brass instrument.
If your child is interested, please contact IMS teacher Deb Schwartz at the school for more information.
