The NRM (Natural Resource Management) Environment Day on Wednesday for our Year 4-7 students was a big success.
We were joined by 90 students from other YP schools and were involved in hands-on sessions with reptiles, insects, soil, waste management, marine debris and shore birds.
During the sessions students dressed as insects (see the back cover!), made their own soil, designed their own badges, watched a very wind blown CSIRO scientist live on a Queensland beach, cuddled a blue-tongue lizard and helped sort waste from re-cycling.
Congratulations to Ranger Fabienne Dee and her team for an educational and informative day for both staff and students.
